This just proves how much quality work lies unnoticed in the great literary slushpiles. That Weston seems like quite the leader, he really has a handle on his men. [Dont Know]

This is one of my favorites:
quote:
Instinctively, without thinking about it, he grabbed the woman and hugged her and then gave her breasts a couple of playful pinches. "Commander please," she said as she blushed and began yodeling.
I'm going home to talk to my wife about the yodeling stuff. I think I've been missing out on something. [Monkeys]

I can't even get through them all I'm laughing so hard.

Remind me to use a few of these the next time I try to write a paper for class.

What do you mean, the general inquired?

"We've got to stop him."
By now he's long gone. Sorry sir."
"Oh no."

Particularily if someone has a firm but genital hold on their men.

I swear, that's how one of our programmers writes his emails.

Four different ideas rolled together in a marriage of incomprehensible gibberish.

Let's give a little bit of credit. This is a funny joke that works. From my POV, the writer shot and scored. Say what you want about the rest of the piece, but this description is funny. Funny is hard to do, and I haven't seen any excerpt from a hatracker that's actually made me laugh, on this side or the "Writer's Workshop" side. An occasional post, but never a set joke pulled off with this kind of aplomb.

CT made a comment about a woodchiper, and TomD is clever, and mothertree places her finger on the funny everynow and then, but for the most part, these two lines are as good as anything I've read here, and a lot better than most.
