They have pulled the plug on Tru Calling, and will not even be showing the final filmed episode. Insted Simple Life: Interns.

Face it, it wasn't an original idea, just a variation on the sixth sense clones that spawned after that movie. Eliza Dushku isn't a very good actress, and the sub plots were contrived drivel that were a poor imitation of other dramas. It just wasn't a very good show, it deserved to be canceled. Now, I am not saying "The Simple Life" is television gold, but it does get ratings.

Was it the most intelligent show? No. But it was fun, which can be more important sometimes. It seems to me that some networks are purposefully killing of good scifi and dramas because they cost so much more than "reality" shows. TV is really starting to suck, especially for people like me who are never going to pay for cable.

Then start paying for cable! There are good things on TV right now, you just have to look. Arrested Development, Desperate Housewives, Jack and Bobby, Veronica Mars. But you are right reality shows are cheaper and easier to create, but they get ratings, and some of them are actually good. I will agree with you on the sci fi bit, but good sci fi shows like X files and Stargate SG-1 and old star treks are usually in syndication, as well as DVD.

The funny thing is I don't need cable to watch any of those shows. But yeah, there are SOME good drams left to watch. Sitcoms on the other hand... If I see one more show about a white overweight bumbling oaf married to a stick thin model I'm going to hurl.

I agree with you there. But there are sitcoms that are decnt too, "King of Queens" is one of those fat husband skinny wife shows, but it is usually funny. "Less than perfect" is good too, as is "Arrested Development." My point with the "pay for cable" thing was that finding good shows takes effort, whether paying for cable or digging through mindless filth to find quality network television.
