I just got Serenity for christmas and I made my family watch with me. They loved it. I am so happy right now. I just thought I would share, because it makes me happy. Does anyone else have stories like this to tell?

I got Serenity for Christmas. Watched it and realized I'm becoming Mal.

Haha. How so?

And if so, can I marry you?

Lucky Joldo. I wanna be Jayne personally. But being a 5'4'' short girl doesn't really lend to that happening.

My dad watched part of it and my brother wondered in towards the end. No real interest shown so that was disappointing. When I was watching the extras my dad kept asking about "Firefly" so maybe we'll watch that together and it'll turn him around.

I dreamed the other night that Mal wanted to settle down on a planet somewhere instead of flitting around the 'verse. After I got over my shock, I suggested that perhaps he just land Serenity somewhere and live in it, instead of buying a house.

My brother gave me both Serenity and the visual companion book. (And he gave me Battlestar Galactica the miniseries, which I've never seen and he swears I will love.) My brother is the best.

As we were at his house, we watched Serenity in his home theater (yes, dedicated room with soundproofing and an obscenely expensive system -- he married well). He loved it. I gave him the Firefly series for Christmas and would have given him Serenity if UPS had brought it on time. Still haven't gotten it, though it was supposed to be delivered last Thursday. [Grumble]

Visual companion book? What is this of which you speak?

Jeni you probably will love the Battlestar Galactica miniseries. Its great. Different kind of stuff from Firefly, but highly addicting and very excellent in its own right.

I've watched Serenity twice now since it came out. The outtakes are amazing. But it was no surprised that all my friends love it, they're all browncoats [Wink]

I got Serenity for christmas, too. [Smile] My whole family watched it that evening, and they enjoyed it. I was so tired, I actually fell asleep during the movie. [Embarrassed]

It's very good. I wouldn't have bought it for myself, to avoid merciless teasing from my husband for being too much of a fangirl, but I'm really glad I got it from my brother. [Big Grin]
