And DFW is the resounding loser.

My little pocketknife was finally flagged, on its 19th trip through security. The first eight or so times, I had just forgotten that it was on the keychain. Once I realized how many times it had made it through, I wanted to see how long it would take.

That little pocketknife made it through security at Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, LaGuardia in New York, San Francisco, Midway in Chicago, Cincinnati, Kansas City, and...I'm missing one...John Wayne in Orange County. On its first trip through security at O'Hare, it got flagged.

And then the nice people put it in a box and checked it as luggage for me, so I still have it. That's good, because it was a Christmas present from Coccinelle and is both wonderfully practical and has sentimental value.

It was getting so easy to get through I started to think that blades under two inches were allowed.

I have to say I am very proud of O'Hare right now.

Yeah maybe if you hadn't been shouting about it to the world as you disembarked from my car...

If I tried to get through with a little pocketknife, chances are they would have been dragging me to the interview room.

That was Chicago Midway.

I didn't compliment then, because I was afraid that if I told them it was a challenge, they wouldn't give it back to me. [Razz] I am considering writing a letter of congratulations, though.

Gosh, they took away my fingernail clippers (the tiny scissors kind) when I went through John Wayne Airport. I looked really dangerous too with them, at 7 months pregnant.

jeniwren, hell hath no fury like a pregnant woman.

[Wink]

On my last trip through airport security, I had to wait for the "extra special" security check. The guy waiting behind me pitched a lighter and a pocket knife into the trash while he was waiting. "I didn't know pocket knives weren't allowed," was what he claimed.
