Ugh.

Well, I'm up to the stage in my classes when I start pumping out paper proposals, one of which will double as my thesis.

I hate paper proposals. I like writing papers, but when it comes down to figuring out "the big question" I'm going to write over is, I bet unmedicated amputations are easier. I agonize over this crap. Trying to find the ONE scene in the whole book where the author makes a contradiction and make a big case out of it.

My proposals consist of two parts. The "I totally agree with the author" part (which is what high school trains you to write about, but which you canNOT do in college) and the "problem/question" part. I'll tell you this, I am such a passive little man when it comes to agreeing with the author. I think I might be the best at agreeing with the author. DISagreeing with author over a specific subject... it's my kryptonite, baby. No, better yet, I'm a vampire Superman, and it's a cross whittled OUT OF kyrptonite. (So I steal from Jack Handey. What are you gonna do about it?)

Stonewalled. Totally stonewalled. I've been staring at the word "However," on the screen for so long, occasionally making a futile effort to flip through the books and articles I've compiled and find one original, specific, interesting idea, and I got squat to show for it except messed up hair and this post.

I'm not asking for help, mostly because that is a titanic gaffe and I also don't particularly expect any of you to leap to your feat and cry, " I have a fascinating take on William Morris's Germanic medievalism!" (though that would be pretty sweet... sweeter than the vampire Superman thing, and how awesome would THAT be?) I really just want a wall to sound off on.

Sheeh.

Ugh.

Wait, did you mean "out" as in dating? Because that would make your comment much more humorous.

You really should...it rocks. Jenni and I really liked it...enough that we might even go back and see it again while it is still at the movies, something I haven't done in years.

Usually I wait until the DVD comes out.....teh last movie I saw more thn once was LOTR, and we all know what a Tolkien freak I am....
