I just got a hair cut. Today is one of those days where I look at the body I had yesterday with a better attitude and feel really good. I have found that trying to look nice makes such a big difference in how I feel. I shoudl do this more often!
I am also about to have an amazing week! Life is good!

I feel good because in exactly one hour and 59 minutes, I will leave work, go back to the dorm, pack up my stuff, and go home for spring break. One whole week of no classes and no work, and getting to sleep in!
I've never gotten to go on a vacation for spring break, but this year will be exciting because I'm going to Pittsburgh on Sunday to meet OSC. Also, I'm super excited about The Incredibles coming to DVD on Tuesday.
Now, if only there wasn't snow outside...

Well, I am finally starting to feel the effects of exercise and controlled eating. I still feel stiff and robot-like when I walk, and I can't run yet, but I am getting there!

I'm feeling good because I got a good grade on my speech last night and I'm maintaining and A average so far in every class.
I'm feeling good because my history teacher moved our midterm from Monday to Friday so I have extra time to study.
I'm feeling good because I'm very sore, like Elizabeth, but it's a reminder that I've started back into exercising and trying to get my body in shape and that makes me feel good about myself.

When I dropped Mark off after lunch, he took his iPod with him, along with the REM song I was enjoying. I thought to myself, "Self, I hope the only radio station I get here is playing an REM song right now." And it was!
My favorite parking space was waiting for me when I got back to work.
The Cornell Chimes were playing a song I really enjoy.
Cornell is going to be able to give me a proof of degree certificate without my grades all over it, so my new animation mentors don't have to know quite how badly I perform in classes I hate.

I feel good because the sun is shining and we're going to reach a record high in Portland today: 73!!!
It's Friday and next week is the last week of this hellish term. I've learned so much this term and I feel like I'm better at what I do because of all the hellishness. It's a good thing.
I also feel good because I'm driving out to Utah at the end of next week for MY spring break to hang out with awesome people (including jatraqueros). It's a nice day!!

...Not really. I mean, there's St. Paddy's Day to look forward to and I have a week off and everything, but spring break is slightly less enjoyable when you're hacking things up 24/7.

I got a $10,000 scholarship from DePauw this week, with a letter from the Dean of the School of Music (herself!!):
quote: Dear Shani,
I would like to congratulate you on your admission to the DePauw University School of Music. Based upon the quality of your audition, I am recommending you for a Music Performance Scholarship. These renewable scholarships are awarded to incoming music students who have demonstrated superior ability or potential in their major performance areas. The competition for these awards is keen, so your award is an indication that the faculty would very much like you to attend DePauw.
Your scholarship will be determined after our final audition date in March. You will receive your award letter as soon as possible thereafter.

(It goes on, but it's just like "check out our website" and stuff) Hopefully this will tack another $5-$10 thousand on, so maybe I can actually go!! *excited*

I feel good today because I donated blood (I'm O+) and because I finished a stitching project ahead of schedule.

I have serious warm fuzzies this morning...
I stitched a wedding piece for my boss' son and his wife and mounted it on a photo album. They're celebrating their first anniversary this weekend. They're in town this weekend because the daughter is getting married, but I wasn't going to get a chance to see Richard and Jocelyn before the reception, so I sent the piece home with the boss.
I just got a phone call from Richard and Jocelyn... they love the piece I stitched and they're amazed that I would put "that much time and effort" into something for them! (and oh they have no idea... I was so very frustrated with this project)
Some days it's so very worth it!

Hang on, Raia! Does that mean that you're moving back to the States next year???
Ummm...something good? Actually, in general I'm a very happy person, but there's nothing specific I can point out today.

I'm feeling good today because tonight we're leaving to spend the weekend with my brother and his family, who I haven't seen since last summer and have dearly missed.
I'm also feeling good because my ultrasound is in 3 days! Boy Opera and Operaetta are coming with us, and they really want to find out the gender, so we'll see what happens.

I'm feeling good because I have the best roommates in the world. We stay up 'til 6 AM playing EverQuest 2, and yet I can still wake up for work 4 hours later with a smile on my face because of them.

Umm, why do I feel good today? I have some leftover buffalo I am making into chili. I'm going out with my best friend tonight.
Oh, narnia, I had forgotten you were in Portland! I just drove through yesterday.I must say, your weather sounds better today. (We hit the hailstorm).

Hehe, no, it doesn't. Hopefully not. But I can go there the year after, they'll hold my spot. And I can also go there if the army decides I'm indispensable to their services.
