That is really, really frightening. I shudder to think of the long term, even permanent effects that will have on their health.

My sister used creatine when she was in high school. I was kind of surprised and dismayed to learn that.

I don't know, it seems like this is just a symptom of eating disorders/perfecitonism/ unrealistic expectations. Of course, if we could agree on how to prevent that...

Creatine isn't illegal - it isn't particularly good for performance-based muscles, but there isn't any evidence to suggest negative drawbacks for purely cosmetic uses.
