A man who took up cycling after a heart bypass died after a long bike trip.

Honest, I am not sure if I feel happy for him, or sad. Cycling had become his passion, and he died after a monumental trip.

My vote is for beautiful. His surgery was 20 years before, so that's 20 years of time given to him. It's great.

Awwww. [Frown]

But I think that's touching. Sad, but in a bittersweet kind of way.

Fix, the man who wrote the book on running, died of a brain anurism while running. Irony is a fine tool in the hands of a bored God!

In this case, I can feel some happiness for the man, who, as Kat said, had a gift of twenty extra years.

A dear friend of mine, an avid skydiver, was hit by a plane while his daughter and wife watched. As much as I wanted to think "but he died doing something he loved," it just didn't work for me at all that time.
