Anyone live near there? I will be visiting from Thursday night until Monday. I would love to have lunch one of those days with a fellow Hatracker.

I'm not going to be in Cali for the happiest circumstances. I'll keep it brief: my grandmother was diagnosed with an advanced stage ovarian cancer and may not be with us very longer.

But I sure wouldn't mind seeing a "familiar" face.

Thanks, but to be truthful, she isn't the same woman she used to be thanks to a combination of paranoid schizophrenia and now possible metastatic disease to the brain.

Over 5 hours for us, too -- sorry. *Hugs from the Moose clan*

<Admittedly thinking about offering to meet halfway if possible -- there's a Red Robin in Coalinga, Mama's spending Saturday at Magic Mountain with her sister, and the kids and I don't have any plans for that day as far as I know. But having you spend two-plus hours on the road for lunch seems... excessive.>
