Not something we have to worry about for awhile. And doesn't really seem like something we can stop. But either way, this is going to suck for Europe. I'm betting American farmers will do well off this, when northern Europe can no longer feed itself.
If only we knew sooner.

I liked it. Then again I always take pleasure in movie destruction of New York city and L.A. And who can't laugh at the idea of Americans swiming the Rio Grande to get into Mexico.

That bit where the American president cancels the debt of any foreign country that takes in Americans was funny. Like, if the country reneges on the loan, how, exactly, does the US gov't think it can enforce it? And are the computer records even intact enough to prove debt?
But yes, the picture of Americans illegally entering Mexico is fun!

I also liked the movie and got the DVD. But, I'm a big fan of disaster movies. I bought The Core just to see all the destruction special effects.

Umm... guys, I think this was the research they used to make The Day After Tomorrow. This is what they were trying to point out with the movie. They weren't quite able to make that clear for a number of reasons at the time of the movie though among them:
- The movie was a slam on a lot of Bush's policies (which are highly antienvironmental). Much of the research was done by folks at NASA, who depend on Bush for funding. So they had to sort of distance themselves from the movie.
- they weren't quite ready to publish it at the time of the movie. It was still research in progress.

Um. No. What a surprise. I thought we did have that. It was filmed here, don't you know. I've seen it a dozen times. I can't believe we don't own it. Maybe it's not in the data base for some reason. I'm in the middle of redoing it. Man, does that suck.

You know, the movie list is quite embarrassing. Actually, I'd have to say quite a bit more than half of it is my husbands. Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama.
