Hi.

I did a search and it links to specific posts in a thread and when you click the link it goes right there.

and...

If you copy that link and paste it into a new post

like here

it will go straight to that post, just like if you used it from "search"

But...

If you try to make your own link to a specific post, it doesn't work. It just goes to that page.

How can that even be?

like here -- should go to the sixth post.

It doesn't.

Does it?

Sad...

anyway, I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The two urls look exactly the same to me, just the thread number, the page number, and the post count number are different.

Actually, I figured out the problem. The post number isn't the number from the start of THAT page, it's the post number from the start of the thread.

Never mind. It's working just fine...

here's Ophelia's post about not using whole lyrics...
