quote: Ive posted this on the other side also. I know that I've seen a lot of (supposed) doctors posting on these boards, and I won't be able to speak to our doctor until tomorrow.
Please...I need more information than I can get from a random web search. My daughter was just diagnosed.
Edit: The other side is behaving strangley, or my Blackberry is freaking out. I can't view my post at all.
This was posted yesterday. I've been worried. I used the forum e-mail to reach him, but I've never had it actually work for me before. Has anyone been in contact with him?
If he's talking about hepatoblastoma, his daughter will be needing all our prayers. Does anyone live in the D.C. area?

Sounds horrible! I have no idea what it is though. However for what it is worth you have my prayes for health and well being, for you and those you love!
If they are resecting something out of a liver, it's probably not a good thing. The most obvious choice being hepatoblastoma, which is a tumor.

quote: Background: Hepatoblastoma is the most common malignant liver tumor in early childhood. Most patients present younger than age 3 years with an enlarging asymptomatic abdominal mass. Some patients have fever, pain, anorexia, and weight loss. The two most important genetic conditions associated with hepatoblastoma are Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis.

The kindness of (relative) strangers is touching and moving in ways that I cannot begin to express. To even attempt to put my gratitude into words would do us all a disservice.
The situation is not as bad it could have been. The doctors found a small, pea-sized mass on the right lobe of her liver. Heptoblastoma is not normally caught at this early a stage, but thankfully it does not appear to have matasticized and can be removed by surgery.

Excellent. That sounds very optimistic. Keep us up to date. People around here will want to pray for her during surgery and what not.

I'm so glad they found it early and that things sound optomistic. I'll be praying for all of you.
