It was mentioned earlier, but we haven't spoken of it for a while. Would anyone still be interested in a book exchange? If so, bring one or more books you'd like to trade, and we'll do it, I don't know, Sunday?

I usually don't. But sometimes there are duplicates, and sometimes you just really don't like one, but someone else might. Or sometimes you get bored after reading a mystery 7 times, or...

Sunday morning. If everyone interested in the exchange will be at Katie's Sun. morning, we can totally all bring our books and do it then. And I can get back the one I loaned her.

I could be interested, but unfortunately about the only books I have in my house are academic books about Latin American development. As much as I'd like to give some of them away, they make handy references for papers...

Well, no. THAT one was a duplicate (which I rarely have duplicates) so I my hand released it when it became yours..... (because I got the one with the cool cover instead....)

I'm really enjoying the one I got. Who brought A Short History of Nearly Everything? (I think that's it; it's in the other room.)

Oh, well, yay! I think I'll be keeping this one, not passing it on at the next exchange like you sometimes do with books that are only good once.
Although I might loan it to my dad. He would like it.

I got a Card book! (My just reward for pointing out that katharina had 3 copies of Speaker on her shelves!) I also got a fun-sounding book called Raspberry Crush and something else whose title escapes me at the moment.
I also found the other book I intended to give away. It was under the front seat in the van...how it got there, I'm not sure. All of them were on the back seat, and I'm not a crazy driver. Anyway, the book is Forbidden Fruit by Erika Spindler if anyone wants it.
Also, Rivka, I need your address to send Timeline to you. And Anne's, to send little girl stuff.

*laugh* I have no idea why I had three copies of Speaker. They were all well-read, too, which leads me to suspect that at some point, I had stolen my brother's copy.

So*, I was sitting at Groovy Lube, getting my car inspected so I could become a real Texan *shudder* (I am accepting any and all pity sent my way ) and I was reading one of the books I got at the exchange. I got to the end of page 34 and then realized that the next line didn't make any sense! Because the book's missing page 35-110!
Luckily, the book (Cravings), is a collection of novellas, so I just ignored the two affected stories and moved right to the others. Otherwise I would have been extremely bored for the following five hours of waiting in lines.
