Any one else watching this. It's been my guilty pleasure lately and I'm not sure why. It's pretty corny but I've got it set on my tivo and have watched every episode so far.

Please no spoilers. I have the most recent one Tivo'd and plan to watch it in the morning. I'll get back to you then. It's a great show.

I haven't seen it yet, but my kids won't miss it. I did see the end of one episode, and I didn't really get it. But probably because I only caught the tail end.

It's bordering on anime level - the story is relatively straight-forward.

From the Nick website:
quote:

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Only the Avatar was the master of all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless Fire Nation from conquering the world. But when the world needed him most, he disappeared. Until now... On the South Pole, a lone Water Tribe village struggles to survive. It's here that a young Waterbender named Katara and her warrior brother Sokka rescue a strange boy named Aang from a cavernous iceberg. Not only is Aang an Airbender--a race of people no one has seen in a century--but they soon discover that Aang is also the long lost Avatar. Now it's up to Katara and Sokka to make sure Aang faces his destiny to save the tribe--and himself. Did we mention he's only 12?

My kids LOVE this show! We missed the first half of yesterday's episode, though, so i've got to look at the schedule for repeat broadcasts. And I hope they do another marathon like a few weeks ago so I can figure it out LOL

Its ok. I think its great for a Nickelodeon show. Not many of those are that good. The only ones I have ever liked are The Fairly Odd Parents, SpongeBob Squarepants, Invader Zim, The Angry Beavers, and Pinky and the Brain.

Not Rocko's Modern Life? That was a good show.

Oh, and I finally watched this weeks Avatar. Very inspiring, hehe.

I was at Jexx's when the first episode aired. We kind of MST3K'd it. I mean, it's not hard to do when theres an arrow on the kids forhead.

"If you look closely under the arrow it says 'insert brain here."

Which isn't to say its bad. It's actually not all that bad, and certainly not as bad as Jexx and I were thinking it would be.

Yes, I remember that show, because I used to watch it often. I could google for the name, but I don't know where to start. If anyone knows the name, chime in, please.

Hey, resurrecting a thread here. I'm trying to get the first (whatever number) of episodes of Avatar on tape, and I'm wondering if any of you guys want copies. I'd appreciate payment for shipping and tapes, but I will also take fervent adoration and promises of future rewards.

Also, if any of you have a rough idea in which order the episodes go, I'm not sure which ones I have Tivo'd.

I have them all tivo'd as well so I don't need copies but I am getting tired of the skipping new episodes every other friday and playing reruns.
