I don't really know how else to put what I've been going through the last few weeks.
"To live the law is to live in this life the life of eternity" -Rabbi Heschel
That law is to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, might, mind and strength. To give our whole souls as an offering to Him.
I am perfect- Just. The way. I am.
Just wanted to share the good news (and no, I'm not changing religions or anything, I'm just really deeply happy. I don't think I'm going manic either- though you never know.)
And... I am puzzled that I have lived this long and considered myself an advocate of religion and not really understood any of this. It's not really an understanding thing. That we can't have perfection, but we can be perfected.
It is a birtright, like the one Esau sold for a bowl of pottage. That is the choice I have made time and again- day after day to take some fleeting indulgence instead of being whole, of accepting the gifts the Lord longs to give me.

Beautifully put, mothertree!
Hugs and blessings to you.

<Removed classless, pointless attack that certainly doesn't belong in this thread. The hypothetical question could be posed elsewhere, in a more appropriate topic, and in a more respectful manner. --PJ>

I'm so happy you have found understanding that makes everything "click" for you - enlightenment is great!

KoM, thank you for removing whatever it was you did...it probably wasn't appropreate, considering what I know of your views, and while it would have been better not being said at all it was classy of you to be that considerate of others.

I heard the Young Women in my ward singing some song to that tune, and I could only think about about Coca-Cola.

Okay, so I'm still grounded enough to realize that if you aren't already in a good mood, you probably shouldn't click on that link.
