While I am all for Bob's love for Dana, I feel that his attention to important matters is being diverted, and I will not stand for it a moment longer. He needs to get his priorities straight.

Sure, wooing the love of his life, the woman he was destined to be with, whom he may have been with in another life if you believe such things, is just fab.

However, he has yet to make awards for the "Medium" Pun Smackdown, has been all but absent in the "Clothing" Smackdown, and there seems to be no prize in sight there as well. In fact, the thread is starting to morph into a beer-clothing combination Smackdown. Things are out of control!

Dana, can you please stop being so smart and wonderful for just a thirty minute period, so Bob can focus on what is really important?

Thank you very much,
Liz

"Slacking." Ha! I should've thought of that one when I said he was stringing us along.

I feel I must comment here. Of corsets my fault about the beer thing. The thread is aleing and barley resembles itself. If this has me at lagerheads with more firmly established members I will cool it.

Don't you mean Bob is slacksing? Or is that comment too off the rack for this tailor made thread.

Sorry, I've left you with no possible way to redress the wrong I've done by not cobbling together another set of awards. I could cloak my true feelings in apologetic terms, butt frankly, I'm feeling far too crotchety.

Fact is, the awards are hanging like an albatross around my neck. They take too long and I've got no way to let it out.

So, the Pun Smackdowns can continue sans the terminal kudos or they can end with me just turning tails and running.

I hope I haven't layered it on too thickly.

I gather we need to increase the pleating? Please, please, please stitch together an awards edition to the pun smackdown thread. Sew many of us are sitting on pins and needles awaiting some foam of bolstering.

You know, Bob is never going to catch up with Tom D's post count now that he's matched up with dkw. He posts half as much now.... so Tom will retain the title

(or maybe at least until they get married -- Christy doesn't seem to slow down Tom's post count too much)

Elizabeth, you could formulate one. Bob is distracted what with composing love poems from the cellular level. I suggest we do a matrimonial smackdown in honor of Bob and Dana's impending betrothal.

Good job! Baiting Bob with the post count competition is good. He gets so many posts from punning.

All right, who told Bob he could have a life outside of Hatrack?

I mean, sure, dating/marrying Dana was allowed, but that is keeping Bob in the family. No one said he could leave us for extended periods of time for this...this... work.

What is this "Work" thing you speak of? For me, work is an opportunity to chat on Hatrack and get paid.

Well, maybe I should just shut up now and you can ignore that last parapgraph.

That would be wrong of me.

I wouldn't do that.

nope, not at all.

Dan,

In keeping with the marriage theme, you could have said "cheating on" Hatrack.

You are slipping, sir. Aisle have to reprimand you for that.

Hi Dana! [Wave] [Kiss]

I see you all have un-bridal'd passion for puns. I must vow to give you satisfaction, yes?

I do.

And in marrying the two topics of this thread, I have a new train of thought tuxed into this post. I hope you all are getting good reception. Now that we've gown down this path (a bridal path?) we shall don the vestments, make marry, and shine.

Well, obviously, Bob's honeymoon period is over, and he is showing his true colors. Is he going to 'ave Maria over for dinner, now, and leave us all? Or is he going to Pack All Belle's stuff and leave with her?

What in carnation are we going to do without him?

I too am craving a new smackdown thread. I really appreciate Bob's time and imagination in scripting the start of these funloving threads. If he is interested I have a suggestion. We have seen the term Crime and PUNishment several times in our threads. What about a crime an punishment thread?

Careful, Dag, or YOU will use your best material in this thread, and I will steal it when Bob comes to his sense and starts a new Smackdown.

Edit to not edit: I realize I said that Bob would come to his "sense" rather than his "senses," but I rather like it that way so I am leaving it.

Elizabeth,

Dag just figures he's got a lock on the competition.

It's too early the judge yet, though. The jury isn't even out, for crying out loud. It hasn't even been empaneled.

Looking back at the title of this thread I'm thinking that you arraigned Bob on his lack of attention to a specific thread. For those of you that don't know what arraign meant here is a defintion.
