This is a very long story, which is why I haven't posted about it yet. To sum up, I am in charge of gathering the troops to make the following:
a ten-minute movie, with credits, at least two songs, and a semblance of a plot
a 30 second commercial
two minutes of funny outtakes
We have a script, a camera (with no manual), and two out of the three locations. We also have people lined up to be actors, to do lighting, to design the title and credits, and, most importantly, to edit everything and put it on a DVD to be turned in on July 30.
I have a script that needs to be punched up a little bit. Micah and I wrote it over the past couple weeks, and we will be taking turns alternately directing and being cinematographer, I think. I might need to get someone else to be a cinematographer since we are a little short on male actors and Micah is going to be in it.
So, does anyone want to look it over for me? Add some Funny? Tell me if it's insane to contemplate? I've never done anything like this before, but I have the following qualifications: (1) I know people who went to film school, and (2) I watched all the extras on the LOTR DVDs.
