I'm reasonably sure that a gun capable of piercing body armor from over thirty yards away would not be allowed on a pressurized aircraft.

I don't think the pressurization has much to do with it... did you see the Mythbusters episode on firing a gun in an airplane?

Firing a bullet through the fuselage isn't going to cause anything more than maybe a loud sucking noise. Even shooting a window isn't going to do much. You have to actually set off a large explosive device to cause the kind of explosive decompression you see in movies.
It was a pretty spectacular explosion, though.
