I know this might be a slightly odd request, but does anyone know of any books on living blind, techniques for getting around and daily life? How people have coped with the changes?

Looking around, I've only been able to find almost memior/diary type books (such as Touching the Rock: An Experience of Blindness). Some of the ones that looked like they might work (If Blindness Strikes, Don't Strike Out) were out of print and only being sold used for far more than I could afford to spend on a book.

Does anyone here know of anything that might work? Websites, anything.

Thanks.

Good starting point: http://www.blind.net/blindind.htm Notice their differentiation between organizations OF the blind and FOR the blind.
