Ok, got this power point presentation going. Well, now they’re talking about putting it on a TV instead of a computer or projector. I’ve heard you can put a power point to DVD on auto repeat. Anyone know if this is special software or how to do this? Or even if there is a better way. I thought the projector would be fine, but for some reason they’re looking at this other route. Guess they’ve planned out to well and have too much time on their wedding hands if they’re worrying over this….. Anyway.. thoughts?
This is sort of a continuation of this thread: http://www.hatrack.com/cgi-bin/ubbmain/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=036339#000000 By the way, used an orchestra version of “Simple Gifts” by Aaron Copland. It a song they play for pregame at WVU football games, which is sort of nice laid back theme that has become sort of a mainstay in the community. It’s pretty laid back and fits really well. The bride really liked it when I showed it to her.

I don't know about the power point to DVD thing, but could they just hook up the computer to the TV?

You CAN burn a PPT to a DVD, but it makes a lot more sense to just hook the PC up to the television.

And having the show repeat is easy -- in PowerPoint, once you have the presentation done, then just save it as a *pps file (PowerPointShow file) instead of *.ppt and set it to loop and it will open as a show and repeat.
I used to do this all the time for CompUSA when I worked there. Create shows that we could leave up on computers out on display, with some marketing information.
