Jennifer asked me last night why the days are getting longer and the nights shorter. I told her that was an excellent question and we'd research and learn about it in the morning. I stayed up doing the research, and left my computer on with the most relevant website up, and left the encyclopedia on my desk.

Well.

Before I got up this morning, Daniel read the encyclopedia entry to Jennifer, and I woke up to the sounds of "Cool!" "I didn't know that!" and "Awesome!" as they surfed the internet.

I didn't disturb them and got in the shower instead. When I came out, they were playing with flash cards! Math! Spontaneously! [Big Grin]

How awesome is that?!

I'm so proud.

Oh, yes...AND they've decided The Magic School Bus is better than anything else on TV "because we learn stuff."

Oh, and Daniel says this is "the most awesome video game EVER!"

And as an add on thought..

That game does look awesome. I love legos. I don't care if I'm 20, I'm not ashamed to admit it. I have Lego models of the Millenium Falcon, an X-Wing, Y-Wing and a Snowspeeder in my room.

I still remember the bus shrinking around and exploring the body inside the teacher. They had to go vacumm up all the acid muscles give off so she could have energy enough to win the race. Pwn.

I have the dragon castle too (two actually, because the first one my parents bought me when I was younger was missing pieces, and they sent me a whole new one to replace it), along with most of the other stuff from that set, and I have the pirate stuff, some of the space stuff. I only mentioned the star wars stuff becuase the video game was star wars legos.

I grew up in a time where we didn't have nice little prepackaged Legos with pictures on the box of what you were supposed to build. We got them by the bucketfuls and used our imagination. [Razz]

Now that is a cool kid. Her first choice for a late night snack is a big raw white mushroom! [Smile]
Being a person who loathes to even touch/smell mushrooms let alone dare eat one, this was an unpleasant twist. Made my tummy do a bit of a flip-flop. [Smile]

I miss my Legos. I wish they still made the kind of stuff they had when I was a kid and not just the Harry Potter/Star Wars stuff. Though I have to say I was really excited when I saw a Lego store in a mall near me.
