Apparently folks have been persuaded that the Davis county library signing is the one we want to go to, so it looks like that is what we'll be doing.

Locust con is the Utah clumpish name for the post- Magic Street signing party. Which will probably be at my house. I think we will mainly eat and play party game and play party games that involve eating.

Wow, zero replies. I guess everyone who is considering this is doing so over at Galacticcactus. If we're looking at more of a dinner party, maybe I'll make won tons.

Oh, what I meant to say is that with the 17th being a ticketed event, is there anyone who would now want to go back to the 16th? Fortunately, the man will be out of town so I'm fairly flexible.

The Man will be out of town? How will I stick it to him?

I think we should make a decision either way. It wouldn't make sense for some of us to go the 16th and some the 17th, 'cause then the whole party idea becomes more difficult. How do you Utah County people feel about coming all the way up to Bountiful for the signing and for the tickets?

I'm in Salt Lake and I don't even want to go to Bountiful twice.

But then, I always dread I will run into an old ex-boyfriend when I'm in Bountiful, so that's not entirely rational.

P.S. I will also have to drop off said "the man" (as in no living the man can resist my powers of persuasion) at 5 a.m. at the Airport. Which would be convenient to Bountiful if it were not 5 hours in the future. What happened to the grumbling smiley? Oh, it's blue. [Grumble]

Personally, I'd rather go to the one at the library since it will provide a better chance to talk to OSC. Also, there will be refreshments. But it's sort of a lot to ask everyone to go up there and get tickets Saturday and then go up there again on Wednesday.

Well, we could have two after signing parties. One at my house and one at your house...

We are planning to go to Bountiful to get tickets on the 13th. Hey, it's just another opportunity/excuse to go on a date! So we will be able to pick up 2 tickets beyond what we will need for ourselves.

Would it make sense to meet somewhere *before* the signing to distribute extra tickets? (Like Trisha's house.) I understand it is the getting of tickets ahead of time that is sticking in most people's craws. Then we could come back to said meeting place and partay. (Misspelling deliberate.)

Sure, sounds good. I may not be able to go to the big box store signing downtown on the 16th- my sister is flying in from VA (on an airplane [Roll Eyes] )
But then again, I might. Maybe I'll talk them into eating at a place downtown and then I can drop in late and proceed on to any gathering. I don't know, I kind of volunteered Jon and Ruth for such... I guess with my sister out of the way we could still do it at my house.
