Has anybody else heard this album by Sufjan Stevens? I already had Seven Swans but was never very impressed. The Illinoise album takes my breath away however.

As a matter of fact, I saw him perform most of Illinois live a couple weeks ago - him and the Illinoisemakers. The show was very good, but I think my roommate was rather less than impressed.
So to answer your question, yes. I have heard the album. And I like it a lot.

Yay, Sufjan Stevens! I still like Seven Swans better than Illinoise, but since I haven't heard Illinoise nearly as much, I suppose it could continue growing on me and pull ahead. The person who introduced me to Sufjan Stevens has tentatively offered me his extra ticket to the upcoming show, so if I'm lucky (har!) I'll get to see it live in September!
