Have a long all day meeting today. We were in there all morning talking about issues. We document issues we find with NASA software in a program. This morning was a discussion on each field in this program. A review. But very highly specific and detailed. On lunch right now. Then we go back for the afternoon so we can go through each issue one by one. ………. Can someone shoot me?

Can't. While you've been in this meeting, the gov't passed sweeping regulatory gun legislation so that the only guns allowed in the US are to be held by policemen. (And in tiny print, the legislation specifies that these guns are actually only good for shooting water.)
This was in the interest of public safety and to assure that meetings last as long as possible -- of particular interest to politicians who know that the purpose of meetings is to vote themselves more money.

I've been there. It happens to me about once a week.
I find zoning out and staring in the general direction of the speaker works best, it looks like you're paying attention, while giving you time to contemplate what you would do if you win the lottery, what your next job will be, or how 42 is the answer to the ultimate question, Life, the universe and everything...
