Ha, I did this in Nice! Some friends and I went out to a movie theater in May, and we saw an enormous French poster for The Dark Knight on the wall. My friends flirted with the ticket guy and I tucked it under my shirt.
We got away with it, though.

Getting caught doing something wrong doesn't necessarily make one any more of an idiot than the person who gets away with it.

Sure it does. He did it in a flamboyant costume, tried to take multiple items in full view of employees and with no distraction. He's not an idiot for trying to steal, he's an idiot for trying to steal very very poorly. Morality on the other hand, I won't comment on.
