I got your e-mail last night right before I went to sleep. Thanks so much for your support and concern...I haven't been to the shelter this morning (I had to go grocery shopping while I still can...what a nightmare..), but I'm sure the donations will continue to come in.

Yeah, my brother lives in BR, he said that he heard there were 500,000 extra people in BR.

He came to Lafayette to stay with me, just to get out of the traffic and get some electricity.

More than 500,000. I've heard on the news closer to a million. You can't get anywhere. I can't work because getting there would be nearly impossible. There's also no gasoline to be found. Carjackings are beginning to be a problem as well.

Yeah, traffic in Lafayette is ridiculous too, and gas is a little hard to come by.

They're using the Cajundome as a shelter, and it's like a tent city over there.

So far, yes. Dogs, cats, rabbits, etc, are all doing fine. Mostly they are just very stressed and scared.
