Here's one of mine: http://www.starfall.com/

quote:
The Starfall learn-to-read website is offered free as a public service. We also provide writing journals and books at a very low cost that can be used with the website or separately. Teachers around the country are using Starfall materials as an inexpensive way to make the classroom more fun and to inspire a love of reading and writing.

Primarily designed for first grade, Starfall.com is also useful for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and second grade. Starfall is perfect for Home Schooling.

Anyone else have fun, educational, or just plain silly favorites for kids?

Boon, that's a great website! My resources, of course, are music-related:

NIEHS sing-along songs is neat, with everything from patriotic songs to lullabies to educational songs to... (the NIEHS also has other fun stuff on their kids' pages in general.)

Kididdles has traditional kids' songs and lyrics as well as games and puzzles and more. [Smile]

The Mudcat Café kids' section has information on making your own instruments, plus a link to kids' songs in their folk song database.
