IIRC, most of the Chicago-area Hatrackers are "old" and relatively set in their ways. This isn't to say that we wouldn't enjoy seeing a KMFDM show, but that we'd probably need more than a day's notice to line up a babysitter.

pH, Phil and I are planning a trip to Chicago within the next 6 months. Count us in on a show. We're not old and set in our ways.

I'm thinking you could probably get Xavier and Valentine to babysit so you could go out...

I hope it's the iron-on kind. I don't like to think of people permanently tattooing little children!

We didn't want to go to Chicago in one of the cold months, because then I wouldn't get anyone to meet up with us. I'm sure Tom and Christy wouldn't want to bring Sophie on a long drive in the snow. When are you leaving?
And yes, Xavier and I would make excellent babysitters (you would bring that lullaby tape, right Tom?)

I don't mean to hijack your thread, ...but I guess I am.
I'm going to be in Chicago this weekend (Sun-Tues). Anybody want to get together for lunch or dinner or something?

As for when I'm leaving...I don't know. I'm desperately trying to stay, but since I don't have transcripts, it looks like I'll have to leave come mid-December and head back to New Orleans in January.

IMO, ironing on a tattoo sounds just as permanent as the needle way, with the added advantage of being extra-super-bonus abusive.

Seriously, though, weeknights aren't good for me 'cause of the little ones. This weekend might work out, though. I don't believe we have anything planned for Sunday beyond the typical housework.

Let me see if I can con the grandparental types into watching my kids for the afternoon. Mom was hinting that she's going through withdrawal from not having seen them in <gasp> two weeks...
I could probably bring them if it doesn't work, but I'd rather not have to be Mom and Goody at the same time, kwim?

Got and replied to the email. I've got to bow out, I'm sick and don't want to spread it. Sorry!

I'll email you shortly with my cell number. It's iffy whether or not I'll be able to make it. I have to meet with someone tomorrow to set up band interviews for podcasts. Go go publicity!
