teh awsome!

For all FF7 Fans if you haven't gotten it by now you are a heretic.

If you saw the movies and liked it yet don't have FF7 buy the game.

If you have done neither do both.

Or else, I'll sick the Turks after you to kick your but!

On the subject of Christmas AND Advent Children, my friends recently had this to say upon the release: "It's like Christmas came early!" They were uber-excited, and not at all disappointed.

Advent Children is at present only available illegally.

I couldn't be bothered to finish FF7, but since I hear AC is pretty short I do plan to watch it when it's released.

It's an hour and 45 minutes of Teh Awesome.

Penny Arcade said it best:

quote:
Advent Children did arrive, just as he suggested, and clad only in a masterfully constructed fansub we dove headfirst into a liquid pool of concentrated fanservice.

It should have a warning of some kind on it, when it hits retail. Something like:

Fanboy Warning

This film contains scenes that may be totally F****** awesome. Your favorite characters may be rendered in extreme detail as they take part in mind-blowing battles set in familiar locales. Futuristic scabbard/motorcycles might be depicted in a way that makes them appear sweet.

Then you'd at least have a little heads-up. Even coming into it as I did, with full knowledge of that we were about to receive, I was not prepared for the old emotions to thaw thus and then boil. I'm sorry if discussions about pirated materials agitate you, if you were able to resist it than you're just a better person than I am. At least now you know you're waiting for something good.

Which reminds me of what I consider to be the funniest part of the entire film. It made me laugh. Hard.

If only they'd animate the game as some sort of movie so I don't have to play it again to remember the story line...

They actually sort of do at the beginning of Advent Children. There's a brief synopsis of the major story elements - and some of our favorite cut scenes are rendered in super sweetness.

Way too brief for my poor memory...
