Yeah, I heard it on NPR:( They played some of Mr. Wiesenthal talking about how he was doing his work for justice, and because criminals of the past that he sought had forfeited their right to peaceful sleep, and future criminals as well. Gave me a hopeful feeling, that sort of expression.
*sigh* Also reminded of how far short we often fall of our own ideals and PR...when once we were gearing up for the fight against the USSR, we changed our game a bit to more softball towards Nazi criminals in order to win favor with Germany.

I heard about this too on my way back home from work. Very sad. Have you guys ever seen the movie about him, "Murderers Among Us" ? Very good but very heart rending.

I had heard of him, but didn't know his history. He sounds like a great man. Anyone know if there are any biographies out there? That I might find in my local library, perhaps? This might be the kind of guy I look for in a hero.

He will be missed. I studied his book The Sunflower in a class many years ago, and it left a deep impression in me.

Didn't it make the news earlier? I know I was hearing about in on JM in the AM's livestream from early in the day.
