Hello, Dear. He's wonderful, and I've just been busy. The kids and I've been working on some projects and school stuff...like the "fall carnival" we're doing with our homeschool support group on Thursday, and our rabbit project. Boo has gotten over his fear of walking on the grass barefoot, and now it's tough to keep him from taking off every time we go outside. Rotten monkey.
We had to drive over to Missouri yesterday to pick up my sister. She had surgery today...had to have her wisdom teeth removed. She's going on vacation over Thanksgiving, plans to visit New York, watch the Macy's parade and stuff. She invited us to go with her, but there's no way we could afford to go.
I still read here almost every day...I just don't have a lot of time or energy left at the end of the day to post much. When Oprah says that being a full time parent is the hardest job there is, I believe her.
I love you too, Dear. How's Ems doing? How's Jeff liking his new job? And just when are we getting a big ol' house together, anyway?

If we get a big ol' house, it will have to be elsewhere than L.A.! Have you seen housing prices out here lately?
Ems is fantabulous, except for that second molar that hasn't quite poked through yet. She's on a hot dog and fresh fruit kick right now. Whatever. She'll get over it, and in the meantime, at least she's eating something.
Jeff is liking his new job-- except for one co-worker, the secretary. She's trying her best to misrepresent him to everyone in and out of the office and get him fired. But my aunt caught her out on a few things (she's their accountant) and alerted his boss to it, so he's more aware of what's really happening. And she didn't show up to work today while no one else was supposed to be in the office but her and Jeff-- without notifying his boss. He very casually brought up, "Did you know she wasn't going to be in today?" and the boss got very grumpy that she had decided to take a holiday withouth informing him. She got bumped to him by his brother because his brother got engaged and she took a dislike to his fiance and the fiance got to the point where she said it was her or the secretary. She's quite a... butt.
My feet are swelling. Every time I'm pregnant, my feet swell. Not from high blood pressure or anything, they just swell horridly. Pitting edema, I'm talking. I hate it. *grumps*

That secretary sounds horrible. I'm glad the bosses see her for what she is, though.
Sorry about your feet, Dear. I'd help if I could.
Housing prices in LA are rough, I agree. Housing over here in my part of the world is not so expensive. I saw a 9 bedroom, 4 bath victorian on 1 1/2 acres about an hour south of here for $98,000. The ad said it needed paint and carpet.

CrowsWife, we'll consider it. How attatched to your husband are you? If you're attatched, does he do anything useful (cook? Clean? Do dishes? Build stuff?)

I'm rather attached the hubby, I must admit. He's gotten pretty good at gardening lately, managing (in the desert!) to produce a harvest of pumpkins, tomatillos, bell peppers, corn, black-eyed peas, okra, and cucumbers. I'm looking forward to seeing his garden when we actually get to some place temperate.
He's a really good cook. He prefers main dishes, which is fine by me because I prefer baking.
