Of course, it's Japanese.

Scroll Down to the twelfth commercial--the one with the girl in the Kill Bill outfit and two Sumo wrestlers.

Somehow I don't think knowing Japanese would make this less strange!

*enjoying the anticipation of the other commercials.

I have seen much weirder. One, advertising bottled water, showed a women sitting in the basin of the Manneken Pis fountain and running her feet through the stream of water.

I thought understanding the commercial would help it make more sense. I was wrong.

According to Hiro-chan, the girl is saying two sumo moves. As she is putting her hands forward, she is saying "hand-push." When they put their hands to their side, she is saying, "Body-push."

There you have it. There is no surprise on my part that Joss Whedon tried to create a Japanese commercial on steroids to implant a subliminal message to trigger River.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it reaches the level of "funny". "Strange", certainly. And the girl is fun to look at--especially in the Italian-flag version of the commercial right above the other one.
