ok thanks, when my dad first got them I comment "If the side effects include "may cause anal leakage" I'll be very upset wit you." He laughed, and his friend who was here laughed as well. Good ol' Robin WIlliams providing me with material.

But seriously, Blayne, I'm a nurse, and am familiar with pain medications. I'm not sure what you could be taking that is good for tooth pain that may lead to that particular constellation of side effects. What is the name of the medicine?

OK. Ibuprofen is not likely to make you dizzy. Upset stomach is more likely than diarrhea. You should take the medicine with food, even just some milk and crackers is fine.
A topical anagesic (like Orajel or Anbesol) will probably increase your relief.
Are you seeing the dentist tomorrow? You ought to, you know.

I was on Ibuprofen last week for my Bronchitis. I took 800mg 3 times a day and it did make me a little dizzy and loopy which suprised me. I had not heard of that with Ibuprofen.
