This is an advert for a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) machine, used to make millions of copies of a specific DNA sequence without being quite as labor-intensive. Like, they can set it running and go home to dinner, instead of doing all the heating and cooling and stuff manually. It's a big time-saver.

But it doesn't hurt that they made it funny. Geek/Techie humor is an interesting thing. This had my lab geek buddies [ROFL] Thought I'd share.

It'a like a science geek We Are the World.

OMG... That was actually pretty funny. I'm so going to show that in my class whenever I get to teach grade 12 biology.

My favorite part is "when you need to find out who the daddy is" [ROFL]

Definitely. [Big Grin]

I am sad that I don't really have anyone (other than y'all) to share this with anymore. Too many of my IRL geeky friends are the wrong kind of geeks. [Wink]

Yes! And then the chorus of "Who's the daddy?" just after that. I nearly ruined my laptop with a smoothie spit-take.
