There's something weird going on with my "Ctrl-C" function on Firefox. Yeah, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Wait, I think I've got something wrong; let me try again...
I wonder if it was a male or female camel. Would that change the seriousness of the sin, or is it all just a super-bonus abomination?

Sex ratio: at birth: 1.05 male(s)/female under 15 years: 1.04 male(s)/female 15-64 years: 1.58 male(s)/female 65 years and over: 2.691 male(s)/female
He was jailed for being too poor to compensate the owner for the value of the camel. If he had been caught having sex with a woman-not-his-wife -- whether or not she consented -- they would have executed the woman; with the same money or jail choice for the man.

You understand, I hope, that this is what's in practice by people, which is not the same as what is supposed to happen under Shari'a (Muslim) law?

Very much so, quidscribis. Take a look at the sex ratios in Muslim-majority nations from Jordan northwestward, from Yemen westward and southwestward, and from Iraq eastward and northward. Pretty comparable to the rest of the world.
On the other hand, the clerics, the legal scholars, and the judges in the cesspool of SaudiArabia, Kuwait, the UnitedArabEmirates, Quatar, Oman -- all claiming to be Muslim states -- routinely murder a significant percentage of their women between the ages of puberty and menopause under what they call "Sharia", with the explicit blessings of their totalitarian rulers. Note that I didn't say "authoritarian". Just how high of a percentage is difficult to tease out of the sex-ratio numbers since there is no breakdown of the male/female ratio in their non-native"guest"worker population. But the percentage of women murdered is reflected in the difference between sex ratios of their over-65 populations and the World's average of 0.79males/1.00females, because most non-native"guest"workers are not allowed to retire in the host countries. Which may be a minimum because well over 2/3rds of the world's people live in far greater poverty.
