I was talking with Raia just recently. And she said something along the lines, "We started talking when you were in seventh grade, right?"

And I thought about it for a few seconds. And then I realized, "Dear God! I was in seventh grade!"

I'm a freshman in high school now. The thing is...it feels like I just joined Hatrack a month ago.

I feel so blasted old! And I'm not!

You're so very, very welcome.

Edit:

By the way, why does my being a Freshman make you feel old? Did you think I was older or something?

I often times have to remind myself I'm 20 and not 12. I'm still the same kid at heart. It's cool stuff though.

I still think of myself as a freshman. It scares me when I realize I'm an upperclassman now . . .

It was more of a comparison thing. If you feel old at 16/17/18 years of age, then that makes me feel really old. (even though I'm really not that old either)

You couldn't have been a seventh grader unless you had a sn before Steve Rogers, but I'm not sure. Whatever, I'm young, and I'm five years older than you. And unless you did have another sn, have been here six months longer than you.

<--Is a high school Junior.

I started posting as a Freshman. The biggest change I noticed is that I use grammar on AIM now. Hehe [ROFL]

I was 13 for all of my freshman year, but I started kindergarten right after my 4th birthday so I was a full year younger than everyone in my grade all the way through school.

Well Steve, you don't so much make me feel old. My back does enough reminding for me. But heck, freshman? For me that was...about 11 years ago for me.

And if any body has noticed the back comment (I've made a couple reference's in the past few)...I am going to try and see a chiropractor sometime soon. The problems have become enough that it might be causing problems elsewhere. I'm taking Telp's brother's advice on this one. However, I'm just gonna have to deal with it for a while.

Give it up, you're all a buncha old geezers on the downhill slide.
"I remember when we didn't even have XBOX 360s. We hadda defeat our foes fighting uphill. In both directions. With dull swords..."
"And music? Let me tell ya about the music... We didn't have it easy like you kids. We hadda pirate our stuff straight off the Internet through databanks swarming with computer-eating worms. While fending off vicious copyright sharks..."

I'm stuck perpetually at age 18. I'm 20, and I think of myself as 18, when people ask how old I am, it's the first number that comes to mind.

I used to jokingly say that, since the age of 12, I'd aged two years for every chronological one.

Now, at the age of 29, having been carded all of _once_ my entire life, and both losing hair and having it go gray, it's getting to be less funny. I halfway seriously mused yesterday that if my earlier comment was accurate, I should be dead around 44 or so. As I have a minor heart condition, that isn't even out of the question.

Sheesh. I haven't even abused drugs or anything. It hardly seems fair.

You want old? All of my favorite things are coming up on anniversaries. 20th anniversary of Ender's Game. 25th anniversary of Pink Floyd's The Wall. 25th anniversary of The Muppet Movie.

Sigh.

The Wall is going to be 25? Are they going to release a 25th Anniversary Edition? I'll need to get it if they do, that album is completely and totally awesome. And The Muppet Movie is 25 too? I'll have to get the special edition of that too.

All of the cool stuff is old. Sheesh, why can't one cool thing emerge from my.....generation(?)......decade(?)....year....? Whatever!
