So we've been in front of the judge and it's all final but to sign the papers this afternoon. We came to an agreement on all counts and although I think she made out fairly well in the divorce I'm happy to have this part of my life behind me. It's a great way to start the holidays and I'm glad to have it done before the new year. It would have just put a damper on the entire year.

I get to spend Thanksgiving with my sister-in-law and her husband-for-the-next-two-weeks-only. This over-controling #$@# would not let his almost divorced wife visit her mother and family without tagging along one final time.
What a way to ruin a long weekend.

Well, it's weird being this happy about it. I hate the fact that I'm now amoung the ranks of divorcees but I can't deny how happy I am. It's been a long and trying 2 years and the fact that this is over is a great feeling

I'm sure you're not celebrating the divorce as much as your freedom to choose a new life and the certainty that you have your kids taken care of.
