So, I love excellent artwork. Whether it's for a new desktop, or screensaver, or a poster to order, or just for the sheer enjoyment of looking at, art is a thing for me. I'm sure most of you are of similar opinions.

I figured we might pool some of our sources for superb art available online. I'll start with a couple of mine, and maybe some of you will feel inclined to contribute your own.

Greg Martin has been a favorite of mine for some time. His concept work of planets is staggering on its own, but some of his photos are crisp and brilliant. I'm sure I'd feel even better about them if I lived in the Pacific Northwest.

This one I just discovered today while browsing reddit: Simon Stålenhag. He's fascinated with dystopic Swedish landscapes, and then he populates them with robots and dinosaurs, while still retaining the feel of a common human experience.

What do you guys look at?

AFR, the detail on that is unreal. The intricacy reminds me of Sagaki Keita, who makes masterpieces out of intricate doodles, or even the insane brilliance of Matei Apostolescu, who obviously sees things differently than the rest of us mere mortals.

I love the doodle stuff. That's about where I'm at with drawing right now, so it's resonating with me way more than more formal artwork. I liked Wang 2mu so much that I went out and got a couple of packs of Bic ballpoint pens and have been trying to emulate his style to some degree.
