Actually, it could cause your death as you try to cure it. As I was reading through the article, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry about it.
Everyone knows you should swallow/inhale sugar to stop hiccoughs.
No! No! No! Inhaling sugar is too similar to inhaling coccaine! It could lead to people trying the real thing and then they die too!

Well, it worked didn't it? You don't see the kid hiccupping. In fact, I believe a gunshot wound to the neck is the only 100% effective hiccup cure ever.

It's not that this actually cures hiccups, but it is assured you'll be worried about something else so entirely, you'll forget all about them.
