Gee, Karl, I guess it sure would be super if security were the focus of the 2006 elections, rather than, say, corruption and wrongdoing.

Pity it isn't up to you, isn't it?

[edited to add: If the Democrats can find a way to link security with honesty, then they can capitalize on this. Until then, I think the GOP's security platform has worked pretty well for them, and it'll probably work again.]
