Wow, I'm sorry to hear that! I just received a set of cds of MLK's landmark speeches, and was thrilling to his oratory as I remembered that time in our nation's history.
Coretta Scott King was fully committed to the struggle along with her husband, although she likely had no idea when they married (any more than did he) that he would be thrust on the national stage. She bravely faced the bombings and intimidation right along with him, while raising a family with an often-absent husband, who was eventually martyred. Don't you know she had to be every bit as strong as he, and filled with faith to make it through?
As I'm listening to these talks, I feel a certainty that God intervened in our nation's history, through the efforts of his many servants, the Kings, and all the other activists who did so much, and braved so much, and suffered so much during that time. You can hear it ringing through Martin's voice. that thrill of divine inspiration, and the truth of what he says goes straight to your heart.
"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality... I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits."
There's no reason why we can't make that come true, if we want it to be. I believe he saw the simple truth.

She was a brave and classy lady, in many ways Atlanta's First Lady. Dr. King was one of the greatest Americans, and she was by his side, through all the violence and death threats, and successes and moving speeches.
She will be missed.
