That's right, I finally found a new apartment!!! I can't wait to move. I'm on the third floor which means no thumpy people upstairs and it's in a gated community. Also, because I'm upstairs, I won't have weird neighborhood people trying to sell me things that knock on my sliding glass door when I don't open the front one. Sheesh!

Yes that's right, someone in my building (I think they were selling Girl Scout cookies, they had kids with them) came knocking on my door and when I didn't answer it, they went over to my patio door to knock on it. Frankly, they're lucky I didn't call the cops.

haha, same situation for my building, except its underpriveliged church groups (doubtful) selling mag subscriptions, and they get an "educational trip to Europe" (doubtfull) and "yours is the last one I need and then I can go!" (extremely doubtful, since the same kid came to my place twice in two years with the same line...)

The creep also tried to look in my spy glass. I was peeking out to see who it was when there was just this giant eye right in front of me.

We had that at my school except it was more like, "Our church pastor has cancer! Here, give us money and we will take down your name and number on notebook paper to lend legitimacy to our claim."

What we get here is kids - generally in the nine to ten year old range - knocking on the door asking if they can have "a dollar for my school". Yeah, right.

One of these days I'm going to ask them what school they go to and rat them out. And if the school does happen to be behind it (like I said, yeah, right) I'll let them in on the fact that nobody in their right mind is going to hand out money to unescorted little kids with no fundraising documentation.

Your move into the apartment is going to be a bitch if you have furniture. Otherwise, grats.

Actually Storm, the apartment building is paying for the movers. It's a brand new complex and that's part of their bonus to their early customers. Plus I have the benefit of living in an apartment that nobody has ever lived in before.
