You know you're overdoing the dobies when you make one with a site you find personally disgusting.

NARTH
Hate 'em
Buch of pseudo-Freudian nut-wits.
What the heck do they know of the complexities of human sexuality?

It took me forever to even find what they believe on that site (to determine if they were indeed disgusting). Ugh! I don't like them or their website.

Well, they do appear to be on the more acceptable end of the ex-gay movement; at least they don't claim to heal homosexuality by the power of Jebus. Still, it's a bit like saying that the Discovery Institute is on the acceptable fringe of the Creationist movement. OK, they don't believe in seven-day creation, but ye gods.

I think I get what you're talking about, KoM.

I was starting to go blind on variations of the word "diverse," however.

NARTH respects each client's dignity, autonomy and free agency.
Isn't agency in that context strictly an LDS word?

Yeah. I'm pretty sure the LDS Church has it copyrighted or something.

Okay, maybe strictly wasn't the best word, but I don't think my comment warrented sarcasm.

I heard the term "agency" a lot in philosophy classes. Most of the time referring to Kantian ethics. Thusly:

"Oh yeah Kant? I got yer agency right here!"
:crotchgrab:

Edited in favor of this stylish new emote.
