I think it just may be the best book she's ever written.
Edward Tulane is an exquisite, well-dressed china rabbit toy. He's deeply loved by his owner, yet feels nothing more than cold pride and vague irritation in return.
Then, one day, his pampered life is lost.
He becomes subject to suffering...but also to great kindness.
Gradually, painfully, wonderfully, he's taught to feel love, and to give it.
Powerful story, and the illustrations are gorgeous.
