A friend sent me this story that he found in the British news:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1729345,00.html#article_continue

It's an interesting article about a speech in which O'Connor talks about the direction the country is going in, violence against judges and the justice system.

I'm still trying to reason out what I think about this and what the implications of these statements might be. It's unfortunate that there isn't a transcript or tape of this talk because I'd be very interested to see it.

Sounds like "judicial editing" to me. Interesting as those comments are, I didn't see her calling us a dictatorship, despite the editorial comments of the writer of that piece.

I will be looking for independent confirmation and those transcripts, to try and judge context myself. [Big Grin]

Thanks for the linky though. [Wink]

That was somewhat my reaction as well. However I haven't, yet, found any other mentions of this. *shrug* And i should look to find the NPR story which should be pretty easy.

Here is a link to the NPR site.

I will probably listen to it tomorrow, after visiting Universal with zgator and Icky and Cor's family. [Big Grin]

It is going to be 86 degrees tomorrow. [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

The highest I see on any of the local TV stations is 84.

I'm a little bit worried about the 25% chance of rain. [Angst]

Right...but if you look at the bottom it says the rest of the week, and it said 85 degrees for Tuesday when I posted this.

Of course since it is constantly updated, it now says 84 degrees. [Big Grin]
