Seriously though, yeah I know exactly what you mean. Actually, I saw Garden State not too long after my brother had died and I had to move back home. A lot of what happened played out like the initial events in the movie. I lucked out on my last move, which was to San Francisco, where meeting people wasn't too hard and family was only a few hours drive away. Now I find myself, again, in yet another new state with no family, friends, or even acquaintances. I guess I don't really have any suggestions, but I thought I'd tell you that you aren't alone. I do find that the old adage, to make friends, you first have to be a friend, or however that goes, holds pretty true.
