Just thought I'd let you know that Donald Fagen released a solo album today. He is, by some criteria, my favorite living musician, and I had no idea anything was even in the works until I happened to notice a thumbnail at allmusic.com today. Steelydan.com is still advertising for Everything Must Go (although there is a link hidden deep in the site for Donald Fagen's homepage, which has info on it). So it's a bit under my radar.
Anyway, I didn't know if anyone here is into SD, but I thought that if it snuck up on me, maybe there's someone here that could use the info. If so, I hope you find it helpful.
I'm ripping it to my hard drive even as I speak so that I can listen to it (I live in a nearly CD-player-free household). Perhaps I'll come back later and post a first impression. If anyone here has heard it, feel free to beat me to it, though.

I adore Steely Dan and Donald Fagen! I purchased it today much to my husband's dismay! He is so sick of them because that's really all I listen to anymore. I like the old stuff but I really like the last album as well. I heard some of the new Fagen on Amazon and it sounds like what I would expect from him. I plan to enjoy it with the baby tomorrow when we clean out her closet. I like their music to clean by, has a good beat!
