I'll go grab my duct boot loader right away. Plus it's a great message, I'm sick of people scoffing at my PowerBook and making fun of me for not being able to play games on it. You wouldn’t make fun of someone wearing a medal of honor just because they couldn’t store mp3 file on it now would you.

quote: A contest started by a user who promised his boss that a new MacBook Pro would boot Windows XP so it could replace an aging IBM desktop has bore fruit. The user narf2006 has succeeded in developing a solution to boot Windows XP on Intel-based Macs that has been confirmed by testers on various systems -- an won US$13,854 in the process.
A download link has been posted with full instructions and all the required patches to create a bootable Windows XP installation. The process requires:
- An original XP PRO SP2 CDROM "It doesn't have to be bootable, but it should have a I386 directory on the root." - The xom.zip file (included in the downloadable file) - Nero Burning ROM - A blank CD - A PC
The webpage doesn't load for me....

I asked myself the same question. I initially wanted to do it to force myself to learn Windows. But then I started thinking back to every time I have to use Windows, which is usually when I take a class and all they have are Windows computers (and they frown on me using my laptop). And then I decided it is nice to know about, but I'm much more interested in running OS X on PC hardware, which would mean I would have to surf the underground... so I guess I'll just keep using Apple hardware. Mac Minis aren't that expensive.
