In another thread someone was mentioning swimming and I just wanted to find out from all the Hatrack SCUBA divers where their favorite dives are.

For me, almost anywhere with warm water but a few cool ones:

Metridian (sp) field of San Carlos/Breakwater in Montery, CA (Cool because it was a shore dive and I couldn't afford to do a lot of boat dives at the time. Saw sea lions, seals and sea otters and did a lot of kelp crawling)

Hawaii - Insanely warm water and great wildlife. Sharks, turtles, octupi, etc. Saw my first Moray eel and several flocks of Eagle Rays.

Seabase - Salt Lake City area - Somebody enlarged a salt water hotspring and populated it with tropical fish and a couple of nurse sharks. Water temp at the surface is 71 degrees in the middle of the winter, warmer at the bottom (35 feet). Kind of fun to dive in warm water and exit to snow. Visibility sometimes sucks though.

Let us know where you like to dive.

Bonaire, easy, warm, and relaxing. Dutch island, so the occasional topless woman isn't a bad thing either.

I'll be giving Montserrat a shot during my honeymoon in 3 weeks.
