I had an interview today for a decent job finally. It is a sales job for a Veterinary Lab. The compensation is pretty good:
Salary + commission + auto expense + phone + medical/dental. Also, there is an opportunity to be promoted to the VP of Sales and Marketing. It is enough to live off of and then whatever I make with Cutco can go into a savings account.
The only thing is that now I have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to find out if they want me back for a 2nd interview. Then there will probably be more waiting involved.
So, any good thoughts, vibes, prayers, etc would be greatly appreciated.

He forgot to mention that the hours, since they work around when vet clinics are usually open, would be much more normal and decent-- and a lot less 5-hour meetings on Saturdays and such. (He's going to one tomorrow. I am not thrilled.)

So, I called the Vet Lab today to follow up. The guy was impressed that I would do that and said it was a good business skill.
He expressed his concern that I may not be "thick-skinned". I should have pointed out that I am living with a hormonal pregnant women...I think I can handle stubborn vets who don't want the service.
Anyway, after I told him how I handle rejection and can be persuasive and persistent, he said he would call me within 48 hours to schedule a second interview!
I just hope I can continue to have the right answers so that they will hire me.
